[Remote] Legal Systems, Applications & Integrations Lead
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Workday is seeking an experienced legal technology contractor to provide continuity coverage for a critical post-go-live period following the launch of a new enterprise legal management platform. The role involves serving as the primary platform administrator and business systems analyst, focusing on matter management, e-billing, and outside counsel onboarding while ensuring effective communication between the legal department and Business Technology.
Responsibilities
- Serve as platform administrator for the Litify ELM platform, including user provisioning, profiles and permissions, configuration changes, and release management
- Triage and resolve post-go-live issues across internal users and outside counsel, managing the support queue and escalation paths throughout the hypercare period
- Support outside counsel onboarding operations, including vendor portal access, timekeeper and rate management, and adherence to outside counsel billing guidelines
- Administer and refine invoice approval workflows, including routing rules, approval tiers, and the Legal Ops pre-approval gate
- Maintain data quality, including matter taxonomy mappings and legacy data translation references from the prior ELM migration
- Serve as the legal-side BSA owner for key initiatives within the GTM Next program, including Salesforce Case Management and Conga CLM initiatives, covering requirements definition, solution design input, UAT, and delivery coordination
- Own and operate the change request mechanism between Legal and Business Technology for the Salesforce platform and Conga CLM, including intake, business analysis, prioritization, requirements documentation, and pipeline management
- Elicit requirements from legal stakeholders, document user stories and acceptance criteria, and translate legal and business needs into actionable technical specifications for BT delivery teams
- Coordinate release cycles, UAT, and validation for Salesforce and Conga CLM changes affecting legal workflows, and manage stakeholder sign-off
- Maintain the change request backlog with clear status visibility for legal leadership and BT partners
- Serve as the legal department's frontline support resource for the broader legal applications portfolio, including Evisort and adjacent tooling, handling user questions, access requests, troubleshooting, and vendor escalation
- Monitor and maintain integrations between legal systems and enterprise platforms, including SSO, finance and AP feeds, document management, and e-billing data exchange
- Coordinate with Business Technology on technical changes, environment management, access requests, and security reviews
- Own department reporting out of the Salesforce platform, with Litify as the primary source, covering outside counsel spend, invoice cycle times, matter volumes, accruals, and system adoption
- Build and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards for Legal Ops, practice groups, and leadership, and field ad hoc reporting requests
- Collaborate with the data and analytics team to surface legal data structures, validate source data, and align on definitions, feeds, and metrics for downstream analytics
- Maintain system documentation, user guides, and runbooks, and update training materials as workflows evolve
- Manage vendor relationships for platform support, including professional services engagement on open workstreams
- Participate in a structured knowledge transfer with the incumbent at the start and end of the engagement, including coverage of Litify administration, integration runbooks, open tickets, and vendor contacts
Skills
- Salesforce Administrator certification required
- Deep Salesforce platform expertise including administration, configuration, declarative automation via Flows, data modeling, profiles and permission sets, and release and change management
- Strong business systems analyst capabilities including requirements elicitation, user story and acceptance criteria documentation, process mapping, UAT planning, and stakeholder sign-off management
- Hands-on Conga CLM experience including administration, template and workflow configuration, and supporting contract lifecycle processes on the Salesforce platform
- Litify administration experience or demonstrated ability to ramp quickly on a Salesforce-native ELM, including e-billing, outside counsel onboarding, and LEDES invoice workflows
- Strong Salesforce reporting and dashboard skills including report types, cross-object reporting, and dashboard design for operational and executive audiences
- Proven ability to interface effectively between business stakeholders such as attorneys and legal ops professionals and technical delivery teams including BT and vendors
- Experience supporting system integrations including SSO, APIs, scheduled data feeds, and troubleshooting cross-system data issues
- Ability to operate independently in a post-go-live and hypercare environment with minimal ramp time

- Experience working alongside enterprise IT functions in a security-conscious environment preferred
- 7+ years of Salesforce platform experience strongly preferred
- 5+ years working in legal technology or legal operations systems within an in-house legal department, law firm, or legal technology vendor
- Prior experience with an ELM or CLM migration and go-live stabilization preferred
- Experience running formal change management or intake processes between a business function and central IT preferred
