[Remote] AWS Cloud Engineer- Infrastructure
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, build, and support secure, high-availability cloud environments. The role involves applying best-practice automation to migrate, modernize, and optimize workloads on various cloud platforms, ensuring performance, security, and cost-efficiency targets are met.
Responsibilities
- Implement landing zones, VPC/VNet networking, IAM, and security baselines
- Provision and configure compute, storage, and database services using IaC I
- Develop and maintain pipeline automation for app and infrastructure deployments
- Design and package applications with latest containerization and orchestration
- Configure logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting - apply SRE practices
- Produce cost-and-capacity reports with FinOps tooling
- Produce well-structured design documents, diagrams, and hand-over guides
Skills
- 8-10 years' experience in cloud solutions on at least one CSP (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar
- Proficiency with Terraform or equivalent IaC tool and a one scripting language
- Working knowledge of container runtime fundamentals
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and integrating DevSecOps controls
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability stacks and incident-management processes
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer-facing communication skills
- Cloud certifications on at least one CSP (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with serverless services (Lambda, Cloud Functions), event-driven architectures (SNS/SQS, Event Hub, Pub/Sub), and microservice patterns
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI) and security hardening
- Exposure to data-platform services and AI/ML tooling
- Professional level cloud certification preferred
