[Remote] Head of Business Development
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Compass Experience Labs is a company that partners with brands to enhance growth through exceptional customer experience. They are seeking a Head of Business Development to own the sales cycle, champion customer service, nurture client relationships, and provide strategic guidance to the executive team.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle: from sales enablement tools to prospecting and responding to warm leads for new business. Develop opportunities and close deals
- Be a customer service champion- be able to articulate why great customer service should be at the center of every business and can be a revenue-driver for companies
- Nurture relationships and provide solutions: Lead a consultative, solution-based sell to help companies understand how to optimize customer care. Manage existing client(s)
- Follow retail trends and stay up to date with the latest customer service tools and innovations. Be familiar with complementary products and platforms
- Identify potential new markets and products and develop strategies to capitalize on them Understand the financials of the business and make informed decisions during the price negotiation process
- Provide strategic guidance and direction to the executive team. Funnel feedback to help inform the future to constantly improve the service offering
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales and/or marketing
- 5+ years of direct sales experience with a proven track record of success selling to several levels of an organization within the BPO industry
- Strong consultative sales skills with an understanding of how to determine prospects' needs and meet customer objectives and goals
- Strong work ethic and superior organizational skills; has the ability to fluidly manage the entire sales pipeline on your own and report via a CRM to the team
- A passion for customer care
- Proficient with MS Office
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field is highly preferred
- Experience in a service environment, experience in a start-up a plus
- A network of potential clients from e-commerce or retail industry
