[Remote] Master of Content
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. WA-CHAA! Worldwide is a snack brand looking to expand its legacy through engaging social media content. The Master of Content will be responsible for creating and executing a cross-channel content strategy, maintaining the brand's voice, and managing the social media presence to grow the audience and enhance brand engagement.
Responsibilities
- Be WA-CHAA!'s organic social media presence (Instagram/Meta, TikTok, and YouTube) from idea to execution
- Present concept ideas to the Grand Brandmasters and other key members, have swift creative collaborations with them, then go make the idea. Or just make the idea first and see what they think
- Be one who helps grow our audience and build our legend. Never sacrificing one for the sake of the other
- Develop a cross-channel content strategy that grows our community and positions WA-CHAA! as the most entertaining snack brand in the world
- Identify emerging trends quickly, know when to strike and when to let the moment pass. Ideas must have the staying power of a legend
- Stay current on the latest tools, formats, and opportunities across every platform. Know how to speak each one's language while keeping the WA-CHAA! world cohesive across all of them
- Be able to understand content performance, adjust as necessary, and use those insights to refine your attack, without being tricked into sameness
- Step into our WA-CHAA! kung fu cinematic universe as an actor/director/producer. Get critical acclaim. Train hard on the voice, reflect it, and expand where the world of WA-CHAA! can reach through your creative muscles (and fist muscles if you deem it necessary)
- Maintain an authentic and balanced content mix across the account: product-forward, retail, brand-forward, people-forward, recipe-centric, and beyond
- Make the Grand Brandmasters laugh daily. If you do this you have already won. And winning is an important part of victory
- Own and maintain WA-CHAA!’s content calendar and social media task management system. Keeping it up to date and organized
- Create as much as you can on your own, managing your own schedule and follow-up cadences, and know when to reach out for support from Brand, Management, Operations, etc
- Collaborate with the Ops and Sampling team to support TikTok Shop content and other channel-specific initiatives
Skills
- You never stop having ideas. You are the person in the room who makes everyone laugh and then immediately thinks about how to film it
- Maybe you're a comedian. Maybe you're a budding copywriter. Maybe you're the line cook who's always got a phone in one hand
- You have a drive to always make the joke better, and can commit to a bit for way too long
- Short form video platforms are second nature to you. You know your way around editing tools and can wield your own setup: iPhone, tripod, a light or two, whatever it takes to get the shot
- A love for honor, peanuts, and honorable peanuts
- Experience creating content that performs for both Gen Z and Millennial audiences
- Past experience creating content for a brand
- Familiarity with Sichuan food, or a deep curiosity about it
- Existing presence in the food or snack creator community
- Love of kung fu cinema, or the eagerness to be initiated into it
- Comfort with AI tools
