[Remote] Senior Manager - Content and Brand
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. REE Medical is seeking a Senior Content and Brand Manager to lead their brand strategy, content programs, and reputation management efforts. The role involves managing brand identity, overseeing content across various channels, and ensuring that all communications resonate with the veteran community while maintaining brand integrity.
Responsibilities
- Brand Management: Own REE Medical’s brand management end-to-end: brand positioning, voice and tone, visual identity, and brand standards governance across every channel and customer touchpoint
- Agency Management: Lead agency in brand alignment, content management, and editorial planning, building a publishing calendar that aligns with marketing campaigns, veteran cultural moments, and lead-generation priorities
- Content Management: Partner with Marketing team members on cross-channel content (SEO, landing pages, lifecycle email programs, collateral, and more) and collaborate with and support internal stakeholders and teams (Partnership, Outreach, and more), ensuring brand consistency, voice integrity, and content that supports performance discipline
- Brand Stewardship: Evolve REE Medical’s brand standards (visual identity guidelines, voice and tone documentation, content style guide, and brand asset library), ensuring consistent application and accurate representation of our Veteran services across internal teams, external agency partners, and content creators
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies, incorporating social media insights into the overall analysis
- Resource Management: Manage internal and external creative resources, with responsibility for quality, performance, and prioritization
- Reputation Management: Lead REE Medical’s reputation management framework: review and reputation programs and agency partners, competitive reputation defense, and proactive advocacy that differentiates REE Medical’s ethics and outcomes
- Customer-Centric Lens: Own veteran community content fluency: every piece of content REE Medical publishes is culturally appropriate, accurate to veteran experience, and respectful of military service and the realities of VA disability claims
- Reporting: Develop and present performance reporting as needed for the SVP of Marketing; contribute to board-level marketing updates and quarterly strategic reviews
- Communications: Support crisis and sensitive communications when required, including VA-adjacent regulatory shifts, competitive escalations, and reputational events; partner with Legal, Compliance, Communications, and the SVP of Marketing on messaging strategy. Stay current on regulatory developments (PACT Act, VA policy changes) and competitive activity that influence the category
- Leadership: Model rigorous, ethical, and creative practice; mentor and collaborate with team members and contribute to the broader marketing organization as it grows
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered
- 7+ years of brand marketing, content marketing, or communications experience with direct ownership of brand, content programs, and creative team output
- Proven track record managing creative teams (designers, social media, content, or video) with measurable impact on brand health and demand generation metrics
- Experience leading reputation management or brand defense strategies, particularly in trust-challenged, regulated, or scrutinized categories
- Experience designing and building content programs across the full lifecycle from awareness through customer-stage retention, with measurable impact on engagement, demand generation, and brand health
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in content performance measurement: web analytics, social listening, brand tracking, and reputation monitoring tools
- Marketing operator mindset: strategic thinking, and also a roll-up-your-sleeves and dig in to execute mindset. Self-starter who operates with minimal supervision, takes full ownership of outcomes, and proactively identifies and resolves issues
- Advanced writing and editing skills with comfort in technical, regulatory, and sensitive content review; experience reviewing copy for accuracy, compliance, and brand voice integrity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting brand strategy, content roadmaps, and performance results to senior leadership
- Experience marketing in regulated, compliance-sensitive, or healthcare-adjacent categories preferred (financial services, legal services, telehealth, behavioral health, or veteran-serving organizations)
