[Remote] Upholstery Product Designer

They are seeking an Upholstery Product Designer to lead the creative vision and technical execution for their new upholstery category, working closely with factories to optimize designs and ensure quality.
Responsibilities
- Own the creative concepting, technical drawings, material specifications, and construction details for all upholstery products
- Utilize direct daily factory access to manage prototyping, iterate on designs quickly, and improve speed-to-market
- Partner with engineering and supplier teams to optimize designs for efficient manufacturing and clear cost visibility
- Maintain strict hands-on quality oversight during the critical product development and prototyping phases
Skills
- Extensive experience in furniture design, specifically specialized in upholstery construction, frame engineering, padding, and fabrics
- Expert proficiency in CAD software, 3D modeling, and creating factory-ready production drawings
- Unique ability to hold a strong creative design vision while speaking the technical language of factory floor engineers
- Proven track record of navigating manufacturing realities to deliver high-quality, cost-efficient consumer products
