[Remote] Customer Support Rep
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. AllStates Consulting Services is seeking a Customer Support Rep to assist customers with their insurance claims. The role involves answering inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about insurance products while demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Assists customers with their insurance claims by taking the initial report of a claim for auto and home
- Checking the status of a claim
- Answering questions about the claim process
- Resolving any issues or concerns
- Match the policyholder with a claims adjuster, who will determine the fault and the amount of settlement
- Provide information about the insurance products and services
- Assists with customer policy changes
- Communicates with customers via phone, email, text or chat
- Expected to have good communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, as well as knowledge of the insurance industry and regulations
Skills
- High School Diploma/GED or 2 years' experience in a customer facing virtual environment leveraging internet, phone and chat features
- Good communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and regulations
- Ability to work during the operating hours of 5:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. PST, which may (most likely will) include evenings and/or weekends
- 2 years of customer service experience in a fast-paced setting
- Capability to train and perform the job in a remote setting as required
- Outstanding interpersonal and strong computer navigation abilities
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Insurance experience a plus
- If working in a remote setting, capability to meet our work from home requirements (private workspace, hardwired into modem, ethernet is provided but only 3 feet long, worker will need to make arrangements if workspace is not near modem)
- Bilingual a plus
- Shows respect for differences through excellent communication skills with people from an array of backgrounds
- Lives in our cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.)
