Underwriter (Real Estate) | Remote
Position: Real Estate Investment Underwriting Expert Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $100 - $200/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week Role Responsibilities
- Analyze and review underwriting models, discounted cash flows, and pro forma financials.
- Evaluate investment memos and acquisition materials for analytical rigor and clarity.
- Assess risk-adjusted returns, capital structures, and exit strategies.
- Benchmark underwriting packages against standardized investment criteria.
- Provide clear, actionable feedback on assumptions, pricing, and risk analysis.
- Contribute expertise across multiple real estate asset classes.
- Support quality standards and training for underwriting professionals.
Requirements
- Strong experience in commercial real estate underwriting, acquisitions, or asset management.
- Expertise in financial modeling and real estate investment analysis.
- Proficiency in reviewing complex underwriting models and financial statements.
- Strong understanding of leases, rent rolls, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Ability to evaluate market data, capital structures, and investment returns.
- Experience working in hedge fund or asset management environments.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
