[Remote] Systems Engineer II (DevOps)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented DevOps Engineer (Systems). In this role, you will support enterprise software delivery by creating and maintaining automated solutions that streamline the CI/CD process for multiple development teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and pipelines within the CI/CD framework that support software delivery
- Champion best practices by mentoring junior engineers and establishing coding standards for automation solutions
- Monitor, upgrade, and optimize platform tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, and middleware technologies such as WebLogic and Tomcat
- Participate in code reviews and conduct unit and integration testing to ensure functionality and quality
- Assist in analyzing platform tool requirements and provide insights into testing strategies and software design
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure components
- Ensure platform uptime and performance through proactive monitoring and upgrades
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams following agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Skills
- 3+ years of supporting DevOps related technologies, including CI/CD orchestration and source code management
- 3+ years of infrastructure engineering experience with Linux and Windows environments
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and similar tools used for project management and documentation
- Solid experience with agile development practices and tools like Scrum or Kanban
- Hands-on experience with middleware technologies such as WebLogic and Tomcat
- Familiarity with security best practices incorporated into daily workflows
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred
- Experience using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Artifactory for automation and binary management
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
- Experience writing scripts in Java, Python, or Groovy
- Familiarity with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Prior exposure to Test Automation tools and frameworks
