[Remote] Account Manager - Industrial Mechanical
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Louisiana Economic Development is seeking an Account Manager - Industrial Mechanical to drive growth in the industrial sector. The role involves managing client relationships, developing business opportunities, and overseeing service contracts while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for industrial clients
- Build, maintain, and strengthen strategic relationships with plant operators, maintenance managers, engineers and procurement teams
- Conduct regular on-site visits to client facilities
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, addressing service needs, concerns, and compliance requirements promptly
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for MRO services, installation, replacement parts, overhaul work, and equipment upgrades
- Develop tailored proposals, quotes, and service agreements
- Track and forecast sales performance, revenue targets, and margin goals
- Manage ongoing service contracts, ensuring work scopes, schedules, and deliverables align with client requirements and compliance standards
- Coordinate with internal operations, field technicians, fabrication teams, and procurement to ensure timely delivery of parts and services
- Review and monitor job costs, change orders, and service documentation
- Oversee equipment repairs, rebuilds, and installation projects to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
- Provide technical guidance related to installation, maintenance, and repair to mechanical components and equipment
- Assist clients with troubleshooting equipment failures, recommending repair vs. replacement options
- Conduct facility assessments to identify inefficiencies, failure risks, and opportunities for equipment upgrades
- Collaborate with OEMs, distributors, and internal engineers to ensure accurate recommendations and solutions
- Ensure all work adheres to industry regulations (OSHA, API, ASME, etc.)
- Maintain accurate records of service visits, inspections, orders, and maintenance outcomes
- Participate in safety meetings and maintain a strong focus on compliance and environmental protection
- Stay current with trends in mechanical technologies, regulatory changes, equipment advances, and MRO best practices
- Monitor competitor offerings, pricing, strengths, and market presence
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade association meetings
Skills
- 7+ years of combined mechanical experience in the industrial market
- Strong knowledge of all applicable standards and regulations such as OSHA, API, ASME, etc
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Speak, read and write the English language
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Maintain confidentiality related to company and employee records
- Proficient in computer operation and cloud-based file maintenance
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook (email), Adobe Acrobat (pdfs)
- 10+ years of combined mechanical experience in the industrial market
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
