[Remote] Sr Investment Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. USI Insurance Services is an industry-leading retirement plan consulting and benefits administration firm. The Sr Investment Consultant will provide institutional consulting services to retirement plan clients, focusing on investment and fiduciary goals while partnering with various teams to support clients and drive sales efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement investment solutions for corporate defined benefit and defined contribution plans
- Accountability for client relationships and retention for assigned book of business. Generate referrals
- Participate in sales meetings for new business as applicable. Present USI Advisor’s service capabilities to prospective clients
- Review and analyze performance for clients’ current investments. Formulate investment strategies based on client objectives
- Execute defined contribution plan service protocol. Review and provide fiduciary oversight of available investment options. Develop and review Investment Policy Statements and plan menu design. Complete asset class benchmarking and target date, share class and stable value analysis
- Partner with internal research team to conduct due diligence on investment options. Make recommendations for investments failing the Investment Policy Statement criteria
- Work with recordkeeping partner to service assigned book of clients
- Author White Papers for distribution to clients and prospects
- Provide asset allocation advice to defined benefit clients. Partner with actuarial team and participate in asset/liability studies
- Participate in peer training and mentorship. Act as point of escalation for complex client issues
- Analyze portfolios and composite funds. Rebalance on a quarterly basis or as needed
- Enact investment policy statements including trades and investment of new deposits
- Comply with published procedures and compliance manual for USI Advisors and Securities
- Keep current with capital markets and economic trends. Provide strategic direction for clients based on industry trends impacting retirement plans
- Participate in internal committees to enhance current procedures and client deliverables
Skills
- 10 years+ investment consulting experience in the institutional marketplace. Areas of concentration to include defined contribution and defined benefit plans
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting
- Uniform Investment Adviser Law (Series 65) designation required
- Familiarity with industry software programs for performance monitoring
- Broad knowledge of retirement and pension programs and funding
- Able to travel up to 20% of the time
- Ability to demonstrate general business acumen and financial agility

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- CFA Charter or Master's degree
