[Remote] Skilled Trades Recruiter
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled Recruiter to support their skilled trades hiring efforts in Lyndhurst, VA. This position plays a key role in managing the full recruitment lifecycle and partnering with hiring managers to attract and hire top-tier trades talent.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for all skilled trades positions
- Screen resumes, evaluate applicants, and conduct phone, video, and in-person interviews
- Serve as the main contact for prospective candidates and guide them through the hiring process
- Partner with department managers and directors to assess hiring needs and advise on staffing solutions
- Post jobs across internal and external sites, social media platforms, college boards, and career networks
- Source candidates through direct outreach, referrals, research, online platforms, and recruitment agencies
- Develop and maintain relationships with management, candidates, and external recruiting sources
- Assist with developing succession plans and addressing staffing gaps
- Manage the job offer process, including offer negotiation and delivery
- Oversee candidate background checks, reference checks, and drug screenings
- Prepare recruiting reports, presentations, and support ad-hoc recruiting projects
- Maintain marketing and promotional materials for career fairs and trade shows
- Represent the company at recruiting events and assist in onboarding new recruiters
Skills
- Proven success in full-cycle recruiting with strong hiring outcomes
- Ability to manage multiple openings across departments and geographic locations
- Deadline-driven and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced recruiting environment
- Proficient in sourcing strategies including Boolean search, passive outreach, and leveraging social media/job boards
- Skilled in evaluating candidates for both technical qualifications and cultural fit
- Experience guiding hiring managers through the recruitment process
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Juicebox.ai)
- Ability to craft compelling job descriptions and candidate outreach communications
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated or standing) for extended periods
- Occasionally may need to lift or carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., office supplies, small equipment)
