[Remote] Senior Technical Program Manager – Field Services Automation
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the execution of wind turbine services programs focused on automation. This role involves driving initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function and coordinating with various teams to ensure successful program execution.
Responsibilities
- Own the development and update of integrated program schedule, budget, resource identification, and priority discussions for large services programs from conception through product sunset
- Coordinate deliverables, execution, and detailed schedules with Subsystem Program Managers and Functional Managers to escalate visibility to critical path activities
- Provide cross-functional product leadership, working across Sourcing, Manufacturing, Projects, Services, Advanced Research Center, and external parties to ensure that critical product development milestones are achieved
- Facilitate issue resolution with close connection to the Services Systems Engineer and Product Manager, including development of contingency plans and scenario planning
- Organize and lead weekly operating rhythms with the program teams, driving technical discussions, minutes of meeting, and action tracking
- Lead communication and escalation of programmatic and technical risks to the program team
- Assure compliance with engineering processes to maintain a high-quality standard of work outputs
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or similar
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Program Management, Renewable Energy Engineering or related fields
- Ability to break-down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision making
- Ability to prioritize information, using analytical thinking for decision making
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with industrial-scale projects or products
- System or product-level mindset
- Effective oral and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Established project management skills
- Has in-depth knowledge of GE Vernova internal standards for product development
