[Remote] Senior Software Engineer (North America)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Invert is a company focused on improving drug development through data management and AI. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will tackle engineering challenges, collaborate with product teams, and lead projects to enhance their software offerings.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with peers on engineering and the product team to ship new features, maintain existing ones, and push our technical towards excellence
• Identify problems and solve them, as well as choose how to implement features envisioned by the product team
• Communicate effectively in a remote environment to ensure project timelines are met
• Adapt to fast-paced changes in plans and priorities
• Utilize and teach new AI tools and workflows to peers
• Mentor and empower others in the team

Skills

• Deep backend and system design instincts, you've built things at scale and have the judgment to show for it
• Strong opinions on code quality, held loosely enough to change when the problem demands it
• You actively seek out new AI tools, form opinions on how they should be used, and have a point of view on what good AI product looks and feels like
• You don't wait to be told what to own, you identify it and go
• You over-communicate in writing because you know silence creates drag
