[Remote] Senior Platform Engineer F/T

They are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to support projects and provide high-level support for critical incidents while ensuring network availability and implementing complex network solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support assigned projects, which include responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation
- Provide 3rd level support for critical and time-sensitive incident determination and resolution covering thousands of devices in the Mastercard Data Center locations inclusive of logical connectivity, routing, application issues, as well as physical hardware failures
- Engineer and implement many simple and complex change requests daily
- Validate change request in compliance with security standards and solidify the demarcation between test and production
- Manage change requests to maintain network availability of 99.999%
- Resolve network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone access and performance globally
- Design, allocate, and implement complex physical, logical, and load balanced IP addressing schemas
- Implement, configure, & troubleshoot highly complex network connectivity solutions for internal and external customers
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or related
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or as a Network Engineer, Systems Architect, IT Architect, IT Engineer, Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, or related technical position
- At least three (3) years with each of the following: Networking concepts (LAN/WAN, wireless and Security technologies); TCP/IP protocol communications; Cisco's product portfolio; Project Management methodology; Troubleshooting application and carrier issues; Analyze existing systems; Evaluate factors to determine system specifications; Plans design of subsystems and integration of total system; Liaising with business owners and/or stakeholders to determine growth plans
