[Remote] Process Excellence Lead, Finance Transformation & Modernization
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is seeking an experienced Process Excellence Lead to drive finance transformation initiatives for a large, enterprise-level organization. The role involves owning finance process performance, partnering with various teams to improve efficiency and enable operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end performance of core finance processes, including Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report
- Establish process governance, including ownership models, decision-making frameworks, and escalation paths
- Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, workflows, standards, templates, and operating procedures
- Build and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), including baseline metrics, performance targets, and accountability structures
- Lead recurring performance reviews, root cause analysis sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Deliver measurable improvements in process efficiency, quality, cost optimization, and internal controls
- Partner with Digital and Technology teams to identify and implement automation opportunities and system enhancements
- Manage the intake, prioritization, and execution roadmap for process improvement initiatives
- Lead organizational change efforts, including training, stakeholder engagement, and long-term adoption of new processes
- Coach cross-functional teams on process excellence methodologies and best practices
- Utilize AI-enabled tools to analyze workflows, generate documentation, identify optimization opportunities, and support intelligent automation initiatives
- Collaborate with analytics teams to develop reporting and insights that drive operational performance and decision-making
Skills
- 58 years of experience in finance operations, finance transformation, or enterprise process improvement
- Demonstrated success leading end-to-end process improvement initiatives with measurable business impact
- Strong understanding of finance operations and transactional workflows
- Experience developing governance models, process documentation, and standardized operating procedures
- Proven ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into scalable, practical solutions
- Strong root cause analysis and data-driven problem-solving skills
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to executive leadership
- Experience using Microsoft 365 productivity tools, process mapping software, and collaboration platforms
- Hands-on experience with Lucid or similar process mapping applications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience with enterprise finance transformation programs
- Background in process excellence or consulting within a large public accounting or professional services environment
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Experience supporting ERP-enabled finance processes
- Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools and intelligent workflow automation
