[Remote] Employee Benefit Program - Technical Writer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. HCL Global Systems Inc is seeking a Technical Writer to join their Employee Experience Design team. The role involves drafting technical content for employee benefit communications and collaborating with clients and teams to enhance understanding and engagement in benefit programs.
Responsibilities
- Draft technical content for benefit communications
- Draft custom content across multimedia formats—print, web, video and social—for a variety of client campaigns
- Collaborate across internal and external teams to ensure clients' objectives are met and accurate, high-impact work is delivered
Skills
- Strong writing and editing skills that help communicate clearly and effectively across audiences and formats
- Working knowledge of employee retirement plan and health & welfare plan fundamentals
- Ability to partner with technical consultants to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clarity when drafting legally required documents under ERISA
- Experience drafting Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and other technically detailed benefit communications that explain complex concepts in clear, employee-friendly language
- Ability to structure documents like SPDs and benefit guides so information is logically organized, clearly labeled, and modular, enabling employees to quickly locate answers or extract sections for explanation using AI tools
