[Remote] Mechanical Integrity Engineer (Cranes & Lifting Equipment)

They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Integrity Engineer to support safety and reliability in mechanical handling systems associated with critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Support the ongoing safety, reliability, and operational effectiveness of critical infrastructure associated with defence and high-hazard operations
- Work as part of a specialist engineering team
- Provide technical expertise across the design, assessment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of mechanical handling systems and supporting infrastructure
Skills
- Experience in the design, assessment, maintenance, or operation of mechanical systems, ideally including overhead travelling (EOT) cranes and mechanical handling equipment
- Familiarity with lifting equipment regulations and standards, including LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations)
- Understanding of engineering design principles and applicable British and international standards
- Experience assessing equipment condition, design intent, performance, and continued fitness for service
- Ability to develop practical, innovative, and cost-effective engineering solutions
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions based on technical evidence and data
- Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations
