[Remote] Data Engineering Architect
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. AmeriHealth Caritas is a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving health care solutions. The Data Engineering Architect will be responsible for the automation of report production and delivering data warehouse and business intelligence solutions, working closely with end users and IT development staff to ensure data models align with approved architecture standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test enhancements to ETL and BI solutions and work with complex Data modeling and design patterns for BI/Analytics reporting requirements
- Lead ETL design and development initiatives including data analysis, source-target mapping, data profiling, change data capture, ETL coding, QA testing, and performance tuning
- Support technical development in designing, testing and implementing database changes
- Partner with product owners to deliver high performing quality customer experiences that are engaging, purposeful and powerful in their simplicity
- Participate in automation script code reviews and provide guidance on their compliance with automation best practices
- Demonstrate skills using code repositories
- Interact with the product delivery team and participate in product requirement/design reviews to provide input on completeness of functional requirements, product designs and schedules
- Identify interdependencies, ambiguities or omissions and make suggestions to improve requirements and ensure usability/testability
- Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance or completeness with focus to mitigate risks
- Learn rapidly and enthusiastically, focusing on understanding the application/product/area in detail
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an automation of reporting environment; agile environment, report automation engineering, batch and real time processing, agile methods, healthcare industry
- Experience working as a Data Engineer in a production environment with a focus on ETL's, data monitoring, data engineering, and analytics
- Programming experience in Python, SQL
- Experience working in Databricks, MS SQL Server, Hadoop
- Experience working with PowerBI and Tableau
- Experience implementing solutions leveraging CI / CD etc
