[Remote] Low Latency Engineer

Dice is seeking a Senior Low Latency Network Engineer for a 100% Remote, 6+ Month Contract opportunity supporting a global trading infrastructure environment. The role involves designing and supporting ultra-low latency network infrastructure while managing performance and connectivity for electronic trading systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support ultra-low latency network infrastructure across global data centers and colocation facilities
- Manage network performance, connectivity, capacity, and availability
- Optimizing routing and switching for electronic trading, market data, and direct market access (DMA) systems
- Exchange and broker connectivity
- Network automation
- Troubleshooting
- Delivering high-performance, mission-critical infrastructure projects
Skills
- Financial services, hedge fund, prop trading, investment bank, exchange, or market maker experience
- Designed and supported low-latency trading networks
- Experience connecting to exchanges such as NYSE, NASDAQ, CME, ICE, CBOE, etc
- Deep Cisco Nexus expertise
- Experience with market data distribution and order execution systems
- Understanding of trade lifecycle and exchange connectivity
- Python or automation experience
- Experience leading infrastructure projects globally
