[Remote] Key Account Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sensata Technologies is an industry leader in sensor-rich solutions, and they are seeking an experienced OEM Key Account Manager. In this role, you will manage and expand key accounts while focusing on developing new business opportunities in the HVAC and industrial markets.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory/product line
- Pursue sales leads
- Lead in visits to existing and new customers
- Analyze customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
- Respond to customer enquiries; and conclude sales orders to meet established revenue targets
- Innovates and creates sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers
- Perform supplier audits on site at distributor warehouse locations
- Identify and implement efficiency opportunities such as distributor dashboards, etc
- Initiate regular communication with distributors to mitigate shipment errors and discrepancies
Skills
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- Key participant in new account development and/or expanding existing key accounts within an established geographic territory/product line
- Builds relationships at various levels in customers organization
- Analyze customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
- Respond to customer enquiries; and conclude sales orders to meet established revenue targets
- Collaborates on sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers
- Must have a background in HVAC / R
- Minimum 3 years experience in technical sales, preferred
