[Remote] Instructional Designer & Developer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Motorola Solutions is a global community focused on safety and technology. They are seeking a dynamic and creative instructional designer/developer to design, develop, and maintain training content for their sales onboarding program.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain training assets that support sales onboarding with their use of the MSI product suite, including, but not limited to, instructor guides, student workbooks, PowerPoints, and a variety of online assets
- Write effective instructional content for a variety of deliverables, including lesson plans, guides, online content, and more
- Follow a scalable and repeatable process in the scoping, creation, and maintenance of content
- Utilize multimedia elements, simulations, and assessments to enhance the effectiveness of learning materials
- Manage and monitor training assets and courses in the LMS
- Working closely with team leads to ensure training content is focused on the right content, filling knowledge gaps, and appropriate
- Collaborate with SMEs across the organization in producing high-quality and effective training assets
- Stay current on product releases and updates to ensure that enablement content remains technically accurate and aligns with product features and use cases
- Work under tight timelines without compromising the quality of work
- Strong aptitude to learn new technology and software quickly and be able to convey the meaning of complex concepts clearly to a broad audience
- Knowledge of ILT and OLT learning design and development models, adult learning principles, and delivery methods
- Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team-based environment
- Creativity, enthusiasm, drive
- Self-starter, able to effectively work independently
Skills
- 3+ years of designing and developing training content or related experience
- Certification in education, adult education, communications, instructional design, instructional technology, curriculum studies, or a related field
- Strong background in Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong understanding of content management systems, learning management systems, and technical communication
- Knowledge of graphic and video editors such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Indesign, Adobe Premier Pro, Articulate Storyline, and Vyond
- Strong aptitude to learn new technology and software quickly and be able to convey the meaning of complex concepts clearly to a broad audience
- Knowledge of ILT and OLT learning design and development models, adult learning principles, and delivery methods
