Job Description

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote HR Generalist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This crucial full-time role will provide comprehensive HR support to our employees across various departments, operating entirely remotely, while being associated with our Edison, New Jersey presence. As a Remote HR Generalist, you will be instrumental in fostering a positive and productive work environment, ensuring compliance with all HR policies and regulations, and contributing to the overall success of our workforce in a distributed setting. You will serve as a key point of contact for employee inquiries, provide expert guidance on HR best practices, and play a vital role in areas such as employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, HR information systems (HRIS) management, and talent development initiatives. This position requires a proactive, self-driven individual with excellent communication skills, a strong ethical compass, and the ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced, remote environment, leveraging digital tools and collaborative platforms effectively. You will collaborate closely with other HR team members and departmental leaders across different time zones to implement strategies that support our employees' growth, engagement, and well-being, aligning with our company's mission to innovate and advance healthcare globally. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR inquiries, providing accurate and timely information and guidance.
  • Manage employee relations issues, conducting investigations, mediating conflicts, and advising on appropriate resolutions in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Administer HR programs, including benefits enrollment, leave management (FMLA, short-term/long-term disability), workers' compensation, and unemployment claims processing.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date confidential HR records and data within the HRIS (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors), ensuring data integrity and privacy.
  • Assist with comprehensive onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees, including remote orientation.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, feedback cycles, and development plans.
  • Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, ADA, EEO, OSHA).
  • Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure fairness and consistency.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on HR-related topics, including talent management, disciplinary actions, and team development strategies.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR efficiency, employee engagement, and overall organizational effectiveness.
  • Facilitate training sessions on HR-related topics, such as harassment prevention, diversity & inclusion, and performance management, as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (4+ years) as an HR Generalist or similar comprehensive HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and current employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, OSHA).
  • Proficiency with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), preferably Workday or SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, essential for effective remote collaboration and employee interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.
