[Remote] Full Stack Developer

TekStripes, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business IT consulting firm specializing in digital transformation and data-driven solutions. They are seeking a Full Stack Developer to design and build secure web applications that enhance provider directory operations, collaborating with an Agile team to deliver high-quality software.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, accessible web applications and online self-service features that support provider directory operations
- Shape the site concept, user interface design, and overall architecture of the web application
- Own features end to end, from interface and architecture through back-end services and data integration
- Develop and consume application interfaces and web services to integrate directory data sources with downstream systems
- Write, test, debug, and optimize server-side logic in Java and front-end behavior in JavaScript and HTML
- Build and tune database interactions and SQL against enterprise database platforms, ensuring data integrity and performance
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Produce design, interface, and deployment documentation, and support releases and post-deployment fixes
Skills
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of hands-on, full lifecycle software development experience
- Demonstrated, current proficiency coding in Java
- Front-end and interface development with HTML, JavaScript, and modern web UI techniques
- Strong SQL and experience with one or more enterprise database platforms (Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server)
- Proven experience designing and implementing application interfaces and integrations
- Experience delivering secure, accessible, public or enterprise facing web applications
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship); able to obtain a Public Trust if the contract requires it
- Section 508 and accessibility compliant development
- Continuous integration and delivery pipelines, version control, and automated testing
- Full lifecycle delivery in a federal or other regulated environment with a formal SDLC
- Experience with Active Server Pages, Visual Basic, and Microsoft Access
- VA or VHA program experience, and prior Provider Directory or healthcare master data management work
