[Remote] Director of Business Development

Redbock, an NES Fircroft company, is a strategic consulting firm specializing in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. They are seeking a Director of Business Development to lead efforts in sourcing clients, negotiating business terms, and enhancing sales efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Source clients for each of our specializations
- Telephone prospective clients and discuss our service offerings
- Input lead information into our database
- Independently research and identify sources for new business leads
- Exercise independent judgment to negotiate business terms with current and potential clients
- Use own discretion for planning and time management for various prospecting activities and scheduling in-person client visits/meetings
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns
- Identify systems/procedures/tools that would make the sales efforts more efficient
- Update the database with correct client information
- Set appointments or meetings with prospective and current clients
- Identify companies that are hiring contractors
- Assist with internal interviewing and hiring
- Assist with training and coaching new Business Development Representatives
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives for the Business Development team
Skills
- High degree of integrity
- 6+ years of business development/sales representative experience
- Strong computer experience including expertise with social networking sites
- Strong people skills and good on the phone
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in accordance with policies and guidelines
- Ability to work independently
- Bachelor's degree preferred
