[Remote] Designer, Sr.
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Centrus Energy Corp. is seeking a detail‑driven, creativity‑powered Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join their Centrifuge Program team. In this role, you will transform innovative engineering concepts into precise, manufacturable designs and collaborate closely with engineers to support next‑generation centrifuge components and projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop precise 2D drawings and 3D models in Creo
- Collaborate closely with engineers throughout the design process—participating in reviews, incorporating feedback, and ensuring every detail meets the highest standards for accuracy and manufacturability
- Prepare complete fabrication and assembly documentation, uphold drawing and safety standards, and work hand‑in‑hand with teams across manufacturing, quality, procurement, and operations to solve design challenges and keep projects moving forward
Skills
- Associate degree in engineering technology or a related field
- Proficiency in Creo
- Solid understanding of GD&T, fabrication methods, and mechanical assembly practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative engineering environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance (active Q or DoD TS is a plus)
- Experience with structural or dynamic mechanical systems
- Background supporting equipment design in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Familiarity with configuration control and revision management
