[Remote] Data Analytics

The HR Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing workforce data and providing actionable insights to support strategic initiatives, ensuring data integrity and fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Collect, compile, and organize large volumes of workforce data from various sources, including HRIS, payroll systems, employee surveys, and other relevant databases
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency by conducting regular audits and data validation checks
- Maintain and update dashboards, ensuring they reflect current and relevant data
- Conduct in-depth analysis of data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations related to employee performance, retention, recruitment, and other key HR metrics
- Utilize statistical methods and advanced analytics techniques to uncover insights that drive strategies and business decisions
- Interpret complex data sets and translate findings into clear, concise reports and presentations for senior leadership and other stakeholders
- Develop and maintain comprehensive workforce analytics reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Create visually appealing and easily understandable data visualizations that effectively communicate key insights and trends
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams, providing context and actionable steps
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting processes
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in workforce analytics and data science
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR analytics efforts
- Work closely with HR teams, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of data analytics initiatives
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data analytics, providing guidance and support to HR colleagues and stakeholders
- Foster a data-driven culture within the organization by promoting the use of analytics in decision-making processes
Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics, preferably within the HR domain
- Proven track record of conducting complex data analysis and presenting actionable insights to senior leadership
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, and Microsoft Excel
- Expertise in using business intelligence and data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of HRIS systems and workforce data sources
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Experience in creating and delivering presentations to diverse audiences
- Experience with advanced analytics techniques such as machine learning, predictive modeling, and data mining
- Knowledge of workforce planning methodologies and best practices
- HR data and systems from the National Finance Center (NFC)
- Experience with Federal HR
