[Remote] Data Analyst I
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Neurology, is seeking a Data Analyst I to work on projects related to real-world evidence for the effectiveness and safety of treatments for seizures. The role involves data analysis, coding in R, and technical support while focusing on clinical trial analysis and machine learning techniques.
Responsibilities
- Coding multivariable regression in R
- Basic knowledge of statistics, including null hypothesis testing, regression, multivariable regression
- Microsoft office
- Appropriate handling of protected health information
- Virtual meetings (e.g., teams)
- Typing, interactions with others in the group and external to the group, using computer processing
Skills
- Familiarity with coding in R
- Familiarity with multivariable generalized linear models (e.g., logistic regression, survival models, log-normal regression, rank regression)
- Experience with propensity matching/inverse probability weighting
- Data wrangling techniques
- Handling of private and protected health information
- Discussion of results and methods with other statistical and non-statistical people
- Creation of figures and tables
- Undergraduate degree in a biostatistical-related field (e.g., statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, biomathematics, data science, computational neuroscience)
- Basic knowledge of statistics, including null hypothesis testing, regression, multivariable regression
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to participate in virtual meetings and interact with others
- Interest or background in neurology, including functional and/or epileptic seizures
