[Remote] Content & Social Media Coordinator
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. UpMarket is a company that helps accredited investors access private markets, including various investment avenues. They are seeking a Content & Social Media Coordinator who will manage the content calendar and social presence, focusing on creating engaging content related to private markets and investing.
Responsibilities
- Post consistently across LinkedIn, Instagram, and X, with content tied to what's happening in private markets and investing
- Write the weekly email newsletter, blog posts, and company spotlights. Investor-facing content goes through a compliance review before it goes live (turnaround is typically 3-5 business days, so planning ahead is part of the job)
- Create graphics and short-form visuals for social
- Write and publish SEO pages in our CMS (WordPress or Ghost)
- Track performance and adjust based on what's working
Skills
- 1-3 years in a content or social media role where you owned a channel, not just contributed to one
- A LinkedIn, Instagram, or TikTok presence you're comfortable sharing
- Clean, direct writing — no filler, no corporate language
- Genuine interest in startups, investing, or private markets. You don't need a finance background but you need to care about the subject matter
- Reliable with deadlines and self-directed in day-to-day work
- Mandarin language skill is a plus, since we serve a multilingual investor base
- Experiences in fintech, financial services, or financial media
- Short-form video or Reels experience
- Familiarity with HubSpot, WordPress, or Ghost
