[Remote] Network Engineer – Nokia Router Expert
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NextGen, a Kelly Telecom Company, is seeking a Network Engineer specializing in Nokia routers. The role involves configuring and troubleshooting network devices, ensuring stability, and providing remote support for network operations.
Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Nokia routers remotely
- Support Cisco and Juniper network devices as required
- Execute and validate MOPs for planned network changes
- Troubleshoot routing, connectivity, and performance issues
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure network stability and successful change implementation
- Provide remote operational support for network deployments, upgrades, and incidents
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Nokia routers (mandatory)
- Good working knowledge of Cisco and Juniper routers
- Experience with MOPs (Method of Procedure) creation, review, and execution
- Expertise in router configuration, provisioning, troubleshooting, and remote support
- Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues in production environments
- Experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, and IP networking
- Familiarity with change management and incident management processes
- Prior experience supporting Verizon network environments
- Experience working in a 24x7 Network Operations Center (NOC) or network engineering environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
