[Remote] Business Development Representative - Orange County, CA
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Stanislaus Food Products is a nationally recognized, family-owned company known for crafting the finest Italian-style tomatoes and sauces for top-quality Italian restaurants and pizzerias. The Business Development Representative is responsible for selling products to quality mom & pop restaurateurs and developing new business revenue through targeted account development.
Responsibilities
- Walking into restaurant kitchens, engaging chefs and owners in conversation, and conducting side-by-side tastings to demonstrate that our tomatoes and oils taste better than their current brands
- Influencing our potential customer(s) to begin purchasing our products from their distributor
- Sales, with a results-oriented drive
- Maintaining confidence and displaying an exuberant attitude
- Project a culinary or independent restaurant background
- Partnering and collaborating with cross functional teams
- Display a strong work ethic and be self-motivated – this includes the ability to meet or exceed quota while working remotely
- Display excellent verbal, written, communications and presentation skills
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Minimum of 3+ years of proven sales experience, preferably in foodservice, restaurant, or distribution industries
- Minimum of 2+ years of culinary experience working in restaurant operations
- Willing to travel daily to visit clients, conduct in-person meetings, and develop new business
- Minimum of 2+ year of strong prospecting skills, including door-to-door outreach
- Self-motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in competitive environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Passion for supporting and growing small, independent restaurant businesses
- Valid driver's license
- Conversational in Spanish
- Two years of college in culinary trade school
