[Remote] AI Search Optimization & Performance Marketing Specialist

They are seeking an AI Search Optimization & Performance Marketing Specialist to lead efforts in enhancing brand visibility across traditional and AI-powered search platforms, focusing on optimizing content and digital assets to influence AI systems' recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to improve brand visibility across AI-powered search and answer engines, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews
- Identify opportunities to increase the likelihood that the company's products and services are surfaced, cited, and recommended within AI-generated responses
- Build and implement Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI Search Optimization strategies
- Optimize website content, digital assets, metadata, structured data, and content architecture to improve discoverability by AI systems and search engines
- Partner with content, marketing, and web teams to create authoritative, high-value content that strengthens the company's presence in both traditional and AI-driven search environments
- Manage and optimize paid search campaigns across Google and Bing to support broader visibility and lead generation goals
- Monitor AI search performance, brand mentions, citations, and competitive visibility across emerging search platforms
- Analyze search, traffic, and engagement metrics to identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement
- Stay ahead of industry trends related to SEO, GEO, AI search, large language models, and evolving consumer search behaviors
- Help establish internal best practices and long-term strategies for AI-driven discoverability and digital marketing innovation
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in SEO, search marketing, performance marketing, or digital strategy
- Strong understanding of search engine optimization, paid search, and content-driven marketing strategies
- Knowledge of how AI-powered search platforms and large language models influence content discovery and brand visibility
- Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with structured data, schema markup, content architecture, and technical SEO best practices
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Self-starter who thrives in a rapidly evolving environment and enjoys experimenting with emerging technologies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across marketing, content, and web teams
- Experience with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), or AI Search Optimization initiatives
- Understanding of how brands gain visibility, citations, and authority within AI-generated search experiences
- Experience evaluating and measuring AI platform presence, brand mentions, and recommendation frequency
- Exposure to content strategies designed for AI-driven discovery and conversational search
