[Remote] AWS EKS Platform Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. VBeyond Corporation is seeking an AWS EKS Platform Engineer with extensive experience in AWS and open-source software. The role focuses on implementing open-source solutions on Amazon EKS, requiring hands-on skills with various technologies and a willingness to tackle complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Must Have Skillsets: Kubernetes/EKS, hands on experience
• Required skillsets: Terraform, Helm, Python Coding & Scripting, Docker, Karpenter, Data OSS software (Trino, Spark, Pinot, etc...) - minimum rating 3
• Familiarity of Datalake and Spark/Hive is required
• Willingness to work on non-AWS and Open-Source software (must have)
• Willingness to navigate customer complex environment and hierarchy to identify the technical solution (must have)
• Willingness to work on high-risk novel solution which are not done before. (must have)
• Willingness to work on 100% hands-on role , comfortable with Development with IDE, Git, Coding Best Practices etc
• In this role, the candidate will implement Open-Source software's like Apache Pinot, Apache Druid, Trino in a Well architected way on Amazon EKS. This is a very open source heavy hands-on role. The only AWS managed service we use is Amazon EKS. This is not a typical Data Engineering role but rather a Data Infrastructure build role using open source

Skills

• Must have 7 to 10 years of AWS experience
• Must have experience working at Amazon
• Kubernetes/EKS, hands on experience
• Terraform, Helm, Python Coding & Scripting, Docker, Karpenter, Data OSS software (Trino, Spark, Pinot, etc...) - minimum rating 3
