[Remote] Accounting Analyst - Health Insurance

This role involves interpreting data, ensuring accuracy of financial results, and supporting business decision-making through detailed analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly financial reports across multiple regulatory and internal reporting frameworks
• Analyze large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and key drivers
• Collaborate closely with actuarial, audit, and finance teams to validate results and ensure reporting accuracy
• Develop and maintain supporting documentation, reconciliations, and schedules for internal and external stakeholders
• Evaluate client or business unit data submissions and ensure alignment with contractual or reporting guidelines
• Investigate discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and improve reporting processes where needed
• Support audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
• Contribute to forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting activities
• Act as a resource for junior team members and assist with reviewing work where applicable

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience
• Strong understanding of financial reporting concepts and data analysis
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
• Experience with financial systems or data tools is a plus
