The channel currently has a small subscriber base but a strong library of high value video content ready to be optimized, repurposed, and strategically deployed. This is not an entry level role. The ideal candidate has successfully grown at least one YouTube channel and understands how to turn views into revenue. You will work closely with our leadership and social media team to ensure YouTube supports and amplifies broader campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Strategy and Optimization Conduct a full channel audit Develop a 40 day, 6 and 12 month growth plan Optimize titles, thumbnails, descriptions, tags, playlists, and SEO, AEO Repackage existing video library for maximum reach and alignment with top search terms Content Publishing and Repurposing Create and manage a consistent publishing schedule Identify opportunities to break long form videos into Shorts Collaborate with social media campaigns to drive traffic and cross promote Ensure brand consistency across platforms Audience Growth and Engagement Implement subscriber growth strategies Manage comments and engagement Develop community building tactics Increase watch time and retention Monetization Strategy Build pathway to YouTube Partner Program eligibility Identify revenue streams such as ads, affiliate links, course funnels, speaking inquiries, sponsorships Track and optimize conversion from YouTube to email list and paid offerings Analytics and Reporting Monitor performance metrics Provide bi weekly performance reports Recommend data driven adjustments Required Experience Proven experience growing a YouTube channel from early stage Demonstrated success achieving monetization benchmarks Strong understanding of YouTube SEO and algorithm strategy Experience coordinating YouTube growth with broader social campaigns Familiarity with tools such as TubeBuddy, VidIQ, Canva, CapCut or Premiere, and YouTube Studio Strong written communication skills Highly organized and proactive Key Performance Indicators Growth Metrics Subscriber growth rate month over month Net new subscribers per month Percentage increase in returning viewers Engagement Metrics Average watch time per video Audience retention rate Click through rate on thumbnails Comments and engagement per video Monetization Metrics Time to YouTube Partner eligibility Revenue generated from YouTube Conversions from YouTube to email list Leads or inquiries generated from channel Operational Metrics Publishing consistency On time campaign coordination Reporting accuracy and clarity Success in This Role Looks Like Within 40 days: Clear growth strategy implemented, channels/playlists strategically formed based on research and key search words Noticeable lift in views and watch time Consistent publishing system in place Within 5 months: Meaningful subscriber growth trajectory and consistent posting and reporting of metrics Clear revenue pipeline forming YouTube integrated with overall marketing ecosystem
