Veteran Benefits Consultant (Part-Time Sales)
Liberty Evaluations Veteran Benefits Consultant (Part-Time Sales) Part-Time | Remote | Commission + Base ABOUT LIBERTY EVALUATIONS Liberty Evaluations connects veterans seeking VA disability benefits with licensed psychologists who conduct independent medical examinations and nexus evaluations. We specialize in helping veterans build strong, well-documented cases for the benefits they have earned. Our consultants (this role) are the first point of contact for veterans and play a critical role in helping them understand how an independent evaluation can change the outcome of their VA claim. ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for a confident, mission-driven Veteran Benefits Consultant to join our team part-time. This is a high-ticket consultative sales role, but it is far more than a numbers game. You will be speaking directly with veterans, many of whom are frustrated with the VA process, skeptical of outside services, or unsure whether an independent evaluation is right for them. Your job is to educate, build trust, and guide them toward a decision with clarity and integrity. The right person for this role combines the discipline of a high-performing closer with the patience and empathy required to serve the veteran community. You are organized, follow up relentlessly, and understand that the consultation call is the make-or-break moment in our pipeline. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Consultative Sales & Veteran Education
- Conduct consultation calls with warm leads where veterans have expressed interest in an independent psychiatric or psychological evaluation
- Educate veterans on the VA disability claims process, the role of independent medical opinions, and how our evaluations strengthen their case
- Clearly explain our service, pricing, and process in a way that is transparent, accessible, and confidence-building
- Guide veterans through a decision without pressure, using a consultative approach rooted in their individual situation and claim type
- Close at a high rate by combining product knowledge, genuine rapport, and a clear value proposition
- Knowing when a veteran does not qualify for our services and being transparent if we can not help them
Pipeline Management & Follow-Up
- Manage a personal pipeline of leads from initial inquiry through booked consultation and signed agreement
- Follow up promptly and consistently with veterans who did not convert on the first call, using a structured cadence
- Maintain accurate and detailed notes in the CRM for every interaction, outcome, and next step
- Flag trends in objections, hesitations, or common questions to help improve messaging and materials
Coordination & Handoff
- Collect intake information and ensure a clean handoff to the Operations Coordinator once a veteran is ready to move forward
- Communicate any special circumstances, urgency factors, or document gaps to the operations team at the time of handoff
- Serve as a resource for veterans during early stages of the process, answering questions and reinforcing confidence in their decision
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience in high-ticket consultative sales, with a track record of closing deals at $1,000 or above
- Exceptional phone presence and the ability to establish trust quickly with a skeptical or guarded audience
- Experience in healthcare, legal services, financial services, or another field requiring empathy-driven selling
- Highly organized with strong CRM hygiene and the ability to manage a multi-touch follow-up process without letting leads go cold
- Ability to explain complex or unfamiliar concepts in plain language without being condescending
- Veteran status or prior experience working with veteran-serving organizations is a significant plus
- Comfort working independently in a remote, fast-moving environment with limited hand-holding
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT Veterans can tell when they are being sold to, and our reputation depends on consultants who lead with education and earn the close through credibility. At the same time, urgency matters. A veteran who waits weeks to book an appointment is far less likely to convert, and delays in the process can have real consequences for their VA claim timeline. The ideal person understands both of these truths and can hold them at the same time. COMPENSATION & STRUCTURE
