THE OPPORTUNITY The Sourcing Specialist is an operational professional responsible for executing sourcing activities that fulfill Marketlab’s product needs. This role coordinates sourcing for distribution, private-labeling, and contract manufacturing, as well as raw materials for internal manufacturing. Reporting to the Senior Sourcing Manager, you will negotiate pricing, manage supplier data, and ensure the tactical execution of supply agreements to maintain supply continuity. You will support Commercial and Product Management teams by providing the data and coordination necessary to launch new products and maintain a cost-effective portfolio. What You’ll Do Operational Sourcing: Support sourcing activities by identifying and assessing potential suppliers; coordinate the onboarding process under established strategic guidelines. New Product Development: Participate cross-functionally in the new product development process to gather requirements and issue RFQs; provide data-driven supplier recommendations for management review. Contract Execution: Support negotiations for supply agreements to achieve optimal terms while mitigating risk; monitor supplier adherence to contracts; enter and manage contracts in the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system. Purchasing Enablement: Implement the framework for supplier engagement and pricing, ensuring the Purchasing team has a clear, well-documented structure to execute tactical purchase orders. Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and develop partnerships with strategic national brand, private-brand, and contract manufacturing suppliers. Supplier Performance Management: Oversee a robust supplier management program to assess supply performance. Work with suppliers to address both situational and systemic performance issues. Impact Mitigation: Communicate quality or performance concerns to suppliers; work to understand and report the impact of these issues on organizational costs and schedules. Cost Savings: Use data and analytics to identify cost reduction opportunities across the portfolio of products; engage Supply Chain leadership to develop execution plans. Manufacturing Sourcing Support: Propose strategies to source and manage our raw material and component needs to optimize cost and continuity of supply. Market Monitoring: Monitor market trends and commodity pricing to provide data to Supply Chain leadership to use in strategy adjustments. Maintain contract pricing in the NetSuite ERP system. KPIs: Report on Sourcing KPIs; work cross-functionally to identify performance improvement opportunities. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field or relevant experience. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a sourcing role supporting internally manufactured and externally procured finished goods; high-SKU distribution environment preferred. International sourcing experience preferred. Medical products distribution experience is a plus. NetSuite experience is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
