Senior Investment Analysts - Treasury Services - Texas Health Resources
About the position Texas Health Resources is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to join their Treasury Services team. This role involves preparing cashflow modeling, investment and accounting reports, presentations, and forecast models for senior management and other stakeholders. The analyst will also assist with technology platforms, reconcile reports, monitor investment manager performance, conduct economic research, and prepare custom reports. This is a full-time, hybrid position with remote work allowed at the manager's discretion.
Responsibilities
- Prepares System cashflow modeling, periodic investment and accounting reports, presentations, and forecast models for senior management, investment team, investment committee, and other key stakeholders, summarizing findings, analysis and recommendations.
- Assists the investment team with various technology related platforms to update and maintain inputs and documentation. Includes monthly reconciliation of custodian reports to reports provided by the investment managers and THR's investment consultant, as well as monthly self-liquidity reporting provided to THR’s Rating Agencies.
- Monitors and tracks the absolute and relative performance of investment managers, benchmarks, and market indices, compiling comprehensive reporting used in the Mid-Year and Year End Investment Reports for the Texas Health Resources (‘THR’) Investment Sub-committee.
- Conducts comprehensive economic, market and industry research to identify trends, risks, and investment opportunities.
- Prepares additional custom reports and analysis at the direction of department leadership to support the investment program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field
- 5 Years of experience in Finance or related field
- Broad investment industry expertise, knowledgeable in modern portfolio theory and portfolio management.
- Ability to interpret financial information and understand how it applies in making investment decisions.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft office products, emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, and other investment related technology platforms.
