Senior Integration Architect — Composable Architecture, AI-Driven Integration & Enterprise Modernization

This is a remote position. Overview : We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Integration Architect to lead enterprise integration strategy, architecture, consulting, and delivery initiatives for modern digital enterprises. This role is ideal for architects who are passionate about building composable architectures, reducing platform dependencies, enabling AI-ready ecosystems, and driving enterprise modernization through scalable integration solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in integration architecture, APIs, event-driven systems, distributed architectures, and cloud-native integration patterns. In addition to architecture leadership, the candidate will play a key role in pre-sales engagements, customer consulting, solutioning, and delivery governance. As organizations increasingly move away from monolithic integration platforms and seek greater flexibility, optionality, and innovation, this architect will help define future-state integration strategies that support AI adoption, composability, business agility, and long-term scalability. Key Responsibilities - Enterprise Integration Strategy & Architecture

• Lead enterprise integration architecture and modernization initiatives across complex business ecosystems.
• Design composable integration architectures that minimize platform lock-in and maximize business agility.
• Define integration strategies leveraging APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging systems, and distributed computing patterns.
• Design canonical data models that support interoperability across enterprise applications and business domains.
• Establish integration architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
• Drive cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud integration approaches aligned with enterprise technology roadmaps.

AI-Ready Architecture & Modernization

• Design integration architectures that support AI, agentic workflows, automation, and intelligent business processes.

•Architect event-driven ecosystems that enable real-time data movement and AI-powered decision-making.

• Evaluate existing integration platforms and recommend modernization strategies that improve flexibility, scalability, and ROI.
• Support organizations in reducing unnecessary platform dependencies through strategic integration design.

Pre-Sales & Consulting

• Participate in customer workshops, discovery sessions, executive discussions, and solutioning engagements.
• Lead architecture presentations, solution demonstrations, technical assessments, and strategic advisory discussions.
• Support proposal development, effort estimation, solution costing, RFPs, RFIs, and Statements of Work.
• Translate business challenges into scalable integration and modernization roadmaps.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers on enterprise integration, API strategy, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.

Delivery Leadership & Governance

• Provide architectural oversight throughout project delivery lifecycles.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation of approved architectures.
• Review solution designs, technical specifications, and implementation approaches.
• Support risk mitigation, performance optimization, security compliance, and scalability planning.
• Drive architecture governance and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate effectively with business leaders, enterprise architects, technical teams, product owners, and delivery stakeholders.
• Facilitate architecture reviews, design workshops, and decision-making forums.
• Mentor architects, engineers, and integration specialists.
• Contribute to organizational capability development and integration excellence initiatives.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise integration architecture, solution design, and modernization initiatives.
• Strong expertise in API-led architecture, enterprise integration patterns, distributed systems, and middleware technologies.
• Proven experience designing composable architectures and integration ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, and real-time integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of canonical data models and enterprise data integration concepts.
• Experience with cloud-native integration platforms and hybrid integration architectures.
• Proven experience in pre-sales, consulting, solutioning, and customer-facing engagements.
• Experience leading architecture governance and supporting large-scale implementation programs.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and modernization strategies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services, Kafka, Confluent, AWS Integration Services, Apigee, IBM Stack, Kong, Solace, or similar enterprise integration platforms.
• Experience designing event-driven architectures for AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to AI-enabled integration patterns, intelligent workflows, and agentic architectures.
• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS modernization and platform rationalization initiatives.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud-native application design.
• Experience working across insurance, financial services, healthcare, retail, telecommunications, or other enterprise domains.
• Experience in Agile and product-centric delivery models.
