[Remote] Vice President, Marketing

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is a leader in small-format hospitals, partnering with respected health systems to provide care in local neighborhoods. The Vice President, Marketing will develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives growth and enhances the digital experience, while leading a high-performing team and collaborating with executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an enterprise-wide strategic marketing plan and roadmap aligned to Emerus’ business growth goals
- Translate organizational strategy into clear marketing plans, campaigns, budgets, timelines and measurable outcomes
- Lead market segmentation, competitive intelligence and growth opportunity identification to inform marketing priorities
- Partner with leadership to support market expansion, facility-level growth and service-line growth strategies
- Establish marketing as a measurable growth function tied to patient acquisition, conversion, reputation and overall market performance
- Build and lead a modern marketing operating system for Emerus, including planning processes, campaign calendars, workflows, reporting cadences and accountability structures
- Manage agency, media, technology and vendor partners to ensure strong execution, efficiency and ROI
- Evaluate and optimize marketing technology, automation, analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve speed, personalization, targeting and performance
- Use data, automation and AI-enabled capabilities to support patient journey optimization, campaign segmentation, demand forecasting, content development and performance reporting
- Partner with IT, operations, clinical teams, Talent Acquisition and hospital leadership to align marketing with business needs
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing marketing team with clear priorities, accountability and performance expectations
- Cultivate a culture of marketing empowerment, continuous improvement and test-and-learn experimentation using automation, data and market insights
- Strengthen the Emerus brand across enterprise and local market touchpoints
- Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, differentiated and aligned to Emerus’ patient-centric positioning
- Balance enterprise brand standards with local market needs and competitive dynamics
- Support PR, thought leadership, executive communications and employer brand initiatives as needed
- Own and optimize the end-to-end digital ecosystem for Emerus and its joint venture neighborhood hospital brands, including web, SEO, social, paid media and patient access channels
- Lead development of a modern, consumer-centric digital environment that drives patient acquisition, engagement, retention and conversion across digital touchpoints
- Oversee omnichannel marketing strategies to ensure a consistent patient experience across platforms
- Drive website optimization, UX and digital funnels to maximize conversion rates and engagement
- Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
- Travel to all facility locations as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Ability to work off-hours and on call when required
Skills
- 12+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, preferably in healthcare, multi-site services, or consumer-driven industries
- Proven ability to lead both marketing strategy and hands-on execution in a growth-oriented environment
- Strong background in digital marketing, patient/customer acquisition, SEO, SEM, paid media, content, analytics, and reputation management
- Experience leading marketing in a multi-location or local-market activation environment
- Demonstrated success connecting marketing activity to measurable business outcomes, including volume, conversion, reputation, ROI, and growth
- Familiarity with Google Ads, GA4, CRM, marketing automation, ORM tools, analytics dashboards, and AI-enabled marketing tools
- Strong vendor, agency, budget, and partner management experience
- Executive presence with the ability to influence senior leadership and collaborate across operations, clinical, technology, and growth teams
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
