[Remote] UX Designer (Temporary)

They are seeking a talented UX Designer to support client site builds, focusing on design systems, information architecture, and creating accessible resources.
Responsibilities
- Build original site designs in Figma for Learning Management Systems (LMS) using systems-driven expertise
- Implement changes across web, and occasionally mobile, platforms
- Partner with Designers and Multimedia team for branding guidelines, adhering and creating within the established design standards
- Create new content (guidelines, accessibility, content strategy) with guidance from existing documentation, brand guidelines, and manager input
- Use critical thinking to make high-level information more accessible for all capabilities
- Adhere to workflow and timelines as assigned, communicating when issues arise
- Create and deliver the most accurate and fluid product screen mocks that appropriately represent the live product within constant updates and change
- Initiate communications with design team leaders across the organization, and collaborate to develop net-new assets based on the live product or the design modifications currently in progress
- Audit, organize, and optimize internal UX component libraries to enhance consistency, usability, and accessibility across multiple product surfaces
- Evaluate existing sites and products for usability
- Develop personas, user stories and other resources that capture users’ needs
- Organize and run user testing
- Explore and implement other ways to gather and incorporate users’ feedback
Skills
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience working in UX/UI Design
- Advanced Figma Mastery: Complete fluency with complex mechanics like nested components, properties, boolean variables, Auto Layout, and library publishing
- Accessibility Compliance (a11y): Deep knowledge of WCAG standards, including contrast ratios, focus states, touch targets, and screen-reader logic
- Front-End Technical Literacy: Strong conceptual understanding of web technologies like HTML, CSS/SASS, flexbox, and layout grids
