[Remote] UI/UX Designer II-2

Republic Services, Inc. is a leader in the environmental services industry, seeking a UI/UX Designer II to create innovative digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. The role involves leading design initiatives, collaborating with teams, and enhancing user experience through research and prototyping.
Responsibilities
- Provides user experience design leadership over one or more large strategic initiatives
- Collaborates and communicates across teams for measurable business outcomes
- Using a good understanding of the brand strength, represents seamlessly through the product interface across web and mobile channels
- Oversees prototyping, visual designs, user research and usability testing and integration of designs with application development
- Leads a team of junior UI/UX designers, providing training and support as and where necessary
- Researches and identifies new functionality, rich content opportunities, and user behavior enhancements to improve overall user experience
- Conducts user testing surveys for new product features
- Ensures complex information is delivered and displayed in the most compelling way
- Creates rapid working prototypes to validate design concepts with stakeholders and customers
- Researches industry trends and competitor experiences to predict use cases and user interaction, including happy path and exceptions
- Presents designs and sells creative solutions to various stakeholders
- Stays up to date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
- Understands and incorporates search engine optimization best practices in design
- Participates in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and participating in professional organizations
- Prioritizes and manages assignments, tasks, and projects to completion with minimal supervision
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
Skills
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript for rapid prototyping
- Knowledge in Angular, React.JS, SASS/SCSS/Less
- Experience creating interactive prototypes using one or more prototyping tools (Sketch, Figma, In Vision, Axure)
- Understanding of Omnichannel Customer experience
- Minimum of 4 years of UX/UI or interaction design experience; experience with responsive Web and Mobile design and frameworks that incorporate strong grid principles, such as Bootstrap, material design
