[Remote] Senior Software Engineer, Computational Engineering
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Divergent is a technology company focused on transforming manufacturing through innovative software solutions. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Computational Engineering to develop and maintain complex software for advanced additive manufacturing, particularly in toolpath generation and integration with the Divergent Adaptive Production System.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test and deploy algorithmic solutions for LBPF toolpath generation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and propose new solutions to improve material quality and print productivity via software solutions
- Integrate engineering software into the broader factory application infrastructure
- Contribute to code reviews, and produce robust code solutions that can be used in a manufacturing production environment
- Contribute to CI/CD workflows to containerize and automate deployments
Skills
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
- Bachelor's or master's in computer science (or related) + 5 years of professional software‑engineering experience
- Advanced proficiency in C++ for production codebases
- Strong mathematical background and an understanding of computational geometry
- Familiarity with Python
- Solid understanding of system design, scalability, and cloud‑native architecture
- CI/CD pipeline design, experience with Docker and container technologies
- Familiarity with microservice infrastructures and tools, such as Temporal and GraphQL
- Experience with C++11 (and newer), multithreading, OpenMP, TBB
- Experience with CAM/CAD tools
- Experience with developing robust software in manufacturing applications
- Experience with Qt
