[Remote] Technical Product Manager (OMS/ Order Management System)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Stellar Consulting Solutions, LLC is seeking a Technical Product Manager with expertise in Order Management Systems (OMS). The role involves translating complex engineering initiatives into business narratives, driving KPI definitions, and enhancing strategic alignment across various stakeholders in the Pharmacy and Front Store operations.
Responsibilities
- Translate OMS and platform capabilities into clear, compelling business narratives for senior leadership
- Develop high-quality executive artifacts like:
- Strategy decks
- Value realization reports
- Business cases
- Articulate platform contributions in terms of customer experience, revenue impact, cost optimization, and operational efficiency
- Position OMS and related platforms as strategic business enablers rather than purely technical systems
- Define, baseline, and track business KPIs tied to OMS and platform performance, such as :
- Order cycle time
- Fill rate / order accuracy
- SLA adherence
- Fulfillment cost per order
- Delivery speed and reliability
- Establish leading and lagging indicators connecting platform performance to business outcomes and financial impact
- Build and maintain measurement frameworks, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms for continuous value tracking
- Drive strategic positioning of OMS (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, IBM Sterling, or custom OMS) within the enterprise architecture
- Translate OMS capabilities (e.g., orchestration, routing, inventory visibility) into business value propositions
- Identify opportunities to optimize fulfillment, dispensing, and delivery workflows using OMS-driven insights
- Frame platform investments in terms of ROI, scalability, and competitive differentiation
- Support quarterly and PI planning by aligning platform initiatives with business priorities and value outcomes
- Provide structured inputs on:
- Initiative prioritization
- Dependency mapping
- Risk identification
- Business impact assessment
- Ensure traceability from business goals → platform initiatives → measurable outcomes
- Act as a connector across Engineering, Product, and Business teams to ensure alignment on priorities and outcomes
- Facilitate discussions translating:
- Engineering constraints → business implications
- Business goals → platform requirements
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and leadership to ensure consistent messaging and prioritization
- Synthesize platform data, delivery metrics, and OMS insights into concise executive summaries
- Develop story-driven communication that simplifies complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
- Drive consistent and impactful messaging to elevate platform visibility across the organization
Skills
- 8–12+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Strategy Consulting, or Platform Strategy roles
- Proven ability to translate complex engineering/platform capabilities into business value narratives
- Strong experience building executive-level presentations, value propositions, and strategic messaging
- Deep hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (OMS), including: Manhattan OMS, Blue Yonder, IBM Sterling, or large-scale custom OMS platforms
- Strong understanding of end-to-end order lifecycle: Order capture, orchestration, fulfillment, and exception handling
- Experience with OMS-driven omnichannel capabilities: BOPIS / Pickup, Ship-from-Store, Home Delivery, Returns processing
- Ability to articulate OMS capabilities, constraints, and trade-offs in business terms
- Demonstrated experience defining and tracking business KPIs and performance frameworks
- Ability to link OMS/platform metrics to financial and operational outcomes
- Experience with dashboarding, reporting, and data-driven storytelling
- Strong understanding of OMS integrations and platform architecture, including: APIs and microservices, Event-driven architectures and messaging systems, Enterprise integration patterns
- Ability to engage effectively with engineering teams and translate technical concepts into business insights
- Working knowledge of Agile/SAFe frameworks, including PI Planning and backlog processes
- Experience aligning platform initiatives with quarterly and PI cycles, focusing on value delivery
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive alignment across a matrixed organization
- Strong ability to simplify complexity into clear, actionable insights
- Experience in Retail, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, or Omnichannel Commerce environments
- Strong understanding of: Order fulfillment ecosystems, Delivery and logistics networks, Store operations, Dispensing workflows
- Exposure to Healthcare or Pharmacy ecosystems, including: Pharmacy operations and dispensing workflows, Healthcare retail models, Experience working with healthcare platforms or data-sensitive systems
