[Remote] Strategic Account Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Energy Guard is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to lead key account relationships and drive growth within their core partner and fleet ecosystem. This role involves managing large account relationships, advancing specification adoption, and executing territory sales plans while mentoring less experienced team members.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify new fleet and dealer leads through research, cold calling, email outreach, and industry events
- Conduct introductory presentations and product demos (in person or virtual)
- Follow up on leads from partner channels
- Maintain a disciplined cadence of activity (calls, meetings, emails) logged in CRM
- Manage relationships with key fleets, dealers, and OEM partners
- Leverage industry contacts to drive specification wins and pull-through demand
- Coordinate joint account planning with partner reps and regional sales teams
- Develop and execute territory sales plans aligned to annual targets (~$350K+)
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and specifications with procurement and engineering contacts
- Track progress in CRM with accurate forecasting and next-step actions
- Support onboarding and skill development of junior sales staff
- Share best practices and serve as a subject matter expert in fleet sales cycles
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and technical teams to ensure delivery excellence
- Gather and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to inform product development and strategic planning
- Provide actionable insights to leadership for decision-making and long-term planning
- Ensure all customer interactions, agreements, and transactions are well-documented and align with company policies and regulatory standards
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Experience: 5–10 years in trailer aerodynamics, OEM, or fleet component sales with proven revenue growth record
- Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft PowerBI & Excel
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Established network of fleet, OEM, or dealer contacts
- A successful candidate will be action-oriented and energized by making positive connections with others
- Travel: Up to 50%
- Education: Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
- Strong CRM and forecasting proficiency (Odoo preferred)
