[Remote] Staff Software Development Engineer

They are seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead and contribute to the development of a next-generation digital platform aimed at improving customer health experiences. The role involves designing scalable solutions, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with various teams to enhance overall performance.
Responsibilities
- Leverage expertise to design and implement efficient and scalable solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards
- Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions, collaborating with architects and senior engineers
- Provide input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability considerations to ensure that the overall solution meets the desired objectives
- Participate in code reviews and ensures adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines
- Communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure alignment, provide technical insights, and contribute to decision-making processes
- Contribute to the adoption of best practices, new technologies, and tools to enhance productivity, efficiency, and code quality
- Participate in knowledge sharing activities, such as code reviews, tech talks, and workshops, to foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team
- Work with other developers and team members to implement complex features, enhance existing functionality, and ensure the delivery of high-quality code
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them improve their technical skills and grow professionally
Skills
- 7+ years of experience working with enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed software design environment
- 5+ years of Java development experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise cloud initiatives and solutions with cloud computing technologies
- 5+ years of designing and developing modern microservices and cost-effective APIs
- 3+ years of experience working on CI/CD Pipeline automation
- 3+ years of experience working in an Agile-based development environment
- 2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience
- Health and wellness domain experience
- Hands on experience working as full stack development when needed AngularJS, JavaScript, Oracle and other modern databases like NOSQL
- Strong understanding of Generative AI concepts and techniques, including but not limited to: Natural Language Processing(NLP), Text generation and summarization, Conversational AI and chatbots
- Hands on experience developing user-facing features and/or applications
- Ability to create and execute on roadmaps that consider both progress and innovation as well as the need to scale reliably
- Ability to learn/work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space
- Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and achieve broader organizational goals
