[Remote] Sr. Director Sales and Business Development
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Highridge Medical is a company focused on the medical device industry, seeking a Sr. Director of Sales and Business Development. The role involves developing sales strategies, leading sales teams, and establishing relationships with healthcare professionals to drive revenue and market growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue, market share, and profitability goals
- Lead, coach, and develop Regional Sales Directors, Area Sales Managers, and independent distributors
- Establish performance objectives, monitor results, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Drive accountability through regular business reviews, forecasting, and performance management
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, and integrated delivery networks
- Develop strategic relationships with key spine surgeons, physician groups, and healthcare executives
- Support product launches and commercialization efforts across the region
- Expand adoption of enabling technologies, biologics, implants, navigation, and robotics platforms
- Serve as an executive-level representative with key customers and strategic accounts
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform growth strategies
- Partner with Marketing, Clinical Education, Operations, and Product Development teams to optimize customer experience
- Own regional revenue forecasts, budgets, and expense management
- Monitor sales metrics and business performance indicators
- Develop action plans to maximize profitability and resource allocation
- Create a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and customer success
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and healthcare compliance standards
- Maintain adherence to FDA regulations, Sunshine Act requirements, and applicable healthcare laws
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive medical device sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role
- Demonstrated success leading large geographic regions within the spine, orthopedic, or surgical device industry
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and driving market share growth
- Experience managing direct and distributor-based sales organizations
- Strong financial acumen, forecasting, and strategic planning skills
- Ability to travel up to 60–75% throughout the East Coast region
- MBA or advanced business degree
- Experience with spinal implants, biologics, enabling technologies, navigation, or robotics platforms
- Established relationships with key spine surgeons and healthcare systems across the East Coast
