[Remote] Sr. Business Development Manager, Cell & Gene Therapy
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GenScript is a biotechnology company founded in 2002 in New Jersey, focused on accelerating innovation in biotech and healthcare. They are seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth in their cell and gene therapy product portfolio across the US.
Responsibilities
- Lead business development and sales activities across US for cell and gene therapy-related products and solutions
- Develop and expand relationships with key stakeholders, including biotech companies, CDMOs, academic institutions, and core facilities
- Leverage existing network to identify new opportunities and accelerate business growth
- Act as a trusted partner to customers by understanding their technical needs and aligning solutions accordingly
- Drive strategic account development and manage complex sales cycles
- Provide insights on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings
Skills
- Master's degree or above in Life Sciences, Immunology, Cell Biology, or related fields
- 5–10 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the life sciences or biopharma industry
- Strong experience in cell therapy or related fields
- Deep familiarity with the US biotech landscape and core facility ecosystem
- Proven track record of building and leveraging industry networks to drive business outcomes
- Solid understanding of end-to-end cell therapy workflows
- Ability to understand customer processes and translate technical requirements into business opportunities
- Experience interacting with process development, manufacturing, and translational teams
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with cell therapy manufacturing-related products, reagents, or tools is highly desirable
