[Remote] Sr. Analyst, Financial Systems: Oracle GL and Financial Close

The Senior Analyst, Oracle GL & Financial Close Systems is responsible for the stability, configuration, and optimization of Oracle Cloud Financials' General Ledger and Financial Close environment, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.

- Develop and Sustain Financial Reporting Infrastructure
- Enforce Compliance, Security, and Audit Readiness
- Serve as Tier 3/4 Escalation Expert for GL Incidents
Skills
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience in Oracle Financials, with a minimum of 4 years focused specifically on the General Ledger and Financial Close modules in a production environment
- Demonstrated ability to maintain GL configurations including COA mapping, Ledger Sets, Accounting Calendars, and Data Access Sets
- Solid understanding of US GAAP or IFRS accounting principles — sufficient to understand the business purpose behind a journal entry, not just the technical mechanics of posting it
- Proven experience in root-cause analysis for out-of-balance ledgers, sub-ledger reconciliation discrepancies, and GL interface failures
- Participation in at least two full-lifecycle Oracle Financials implementations or major upgrades, with hands-on involvement in the GL and Close workstream
- Experience with data privacy and financial compliance requirements (SOX, HIPAA, SoD) as they apply to GL system governance and audit readiness
- Experience in a regulated healthcare, insurance, or financial services environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or a related field with a strong technical background; equivalent professional experience may be considered
- Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials GL module through formal implementation or sustained production support experience
- Working knowledge of FBDI and ADFdi for bulk GL data loads and sub-ledger integrations
- Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials — GL configuration, COA mapping, Ledger Sets, Close Monitor
- Oracle Financial Reporting Studio (FRS), Smart View, and OTBI
- SQL and PL/SQL — sub-ledger reconciliation queries and GL interface troubleshooting
- US GAAP / IFRS Accounting Principles — GL-level domain knowledge
- FBDI and ADFdi — bulk GL data loads and sub-ledger interface management
- Financial Compliance and Internal Controls (SOX SoD, audit documentation, CMS reporting)
- Scripting and Automation (Python or PowerShell for close process automation)
- Prior experience in a Medicare Advantage, managed care, or health insurance organization, particularly supporting medical cost accruals, risk adjustment journal entries, or intercompany eliminations across plan entities
- Experience with Oracle Close Monitor automation and close cycle optimization in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
- Familiarity with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for managing inbound GL interfaces from sub-ledgers and third-party systems
- Master's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or Finance is a plus
- Coursework or background in healthcare finance, managed care accounting, or regulatory reporting for health plans is a differentiator for this role
- Oracle Financials Cloud: General Ledger Implementation Professional certification (required per manager's draft; strongly preferred minimum)
- Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close certification
- Oracle Cloud Platform Application Integration Specialist certification
