[Remote] Software Engineer

The Software Engineer will develop software-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and revenue, manage cloud infrastructure, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve productivity and system performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop software-driven solutions that directly advance team goals to increase revenue and efficiency
- Manage cloud infrastructure deployments directly tied to owned projects; monitor and adapt to any provider changes and opportunities for cost savings to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and maximize profitability
- Independently identify and implement improvements to existing systems to ensure they align with evolving business needs and enhance efficiency in areas with opportunities for continuous refinement
- Collaborate with inter-departmental stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies and opportunities for automation to improve productivity
- Engage directly with internal users to gather quality feedback and evaluate the impact of previous work on business initiatives to guide future iterations that support ongoing business priorities
- Provide development and engineering support to other team members to drive project completion and expansion within the organization
- Ensure adherence to all internal and industry-standard software engineering best practices, and proactively assess how evolving standards may affect existing systems to maintain long-term sustainability and scalability
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering; or 5+ years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript, Python or C#
- Experience building and using REST APIs
- Understanding of both relational and non-relational databases
- Experience using Git for version control
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud hosting infrastructure
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Desire to continuously learn new skills and technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in difficult situations
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Excellent attention to detail
- Open to both giving and receiving feedback
